I have always had a love for art – no matter what form – any kind of self-expression that has the ability to connect people is amazing to me.  I really just appreciate the shared understanding that can come from someone putting their perspective into a form that others can and relate to. 

I have never really settled into one art form, but instead have explored them all.  My formal studies have included writing, music, design, photography, and drawing.  In 2000, I began exploring painting on my own, which is where I found my niche.  I attended St. Edwards University in Austin, as well as the University of North Texas.  I now live in Denton with my husband and son, and work as both a writer and a painter. 

I like to paint anything that is interesting or important to me, from people and their emotions, to expressions of faith, or just a simple design that is pleasing to the eye.  The custom process is really cool because it allows me to connect with people on an intimate level, finding out what is important to them, and fusing our perspectives into a single creation.
